AFRO PLANT - TURTLE VINE

The Afro plant is a low growing succulent  that can grow up to 10 cm tall and spreading up to 1.2 m or more.  It is native to Mexico, Central America and South America.  

​

It produces tiny white flowers that appear in late Spring and early Summer. 

​

The Afro plant is very easy to care for and adapts to many environments, making it a great choice for novices. This plant grows in moist, well-drained soil, though it can be quite tolerant of many soil conditions.

​

They grow best in partial shade but will also do well in sunny areas.

Keep soil fairly most and water regularly. 

Use a soil  moisture that drains very well.

​

This is an ideal plant for hanging baskets.   

​

While this plant is not listed as toxic to pets,  the sap from the plant can cause skin irritation.
