The Rubber Tree is one of the most common houseplants worldwide.  It's broad dark shiny leaves and size bring a tropical feel to any indoor space.  It is an easy plant to care for, making it a great choice for beginners. 

It is native to South Asia and Southeast Asia and can grow up to 50 meters. 

This plant grows in  medium to bright indirect light. Avoid direct sun and low light conditions.

 

The rubber tree require watering  once a week. Keep the soil moist but not wet.  Adjust watering according to seasonal changes.

Use a well-draining potting mix.  Repot the plant every 2- 4 years. 

Fertilize once or twice a year in Spring and/or Summer with a  half diluted balanced organic liquid fertilizer.

Rubber trees contain a latex sap which is toxic if ingested and can cause skin irritation. Keep away from pets and small children.
