The Calathea Roseopicta, or Medallion is native to Brazil.  This plant is easy to care for and has stunning foliage and purple-pink underside, making it a great choice for a houseplant or for a patio.

This plant prefers bright indirect light  Avoid placing it in direct sun.

Like most Calatheas, it  likes warmer temperature and high humidity.  Keep it away from cold draft.  The roseopicta prefers having the soil moist at all times. 

It is best to use filtered or distilled water, since hard water can cause damage to the plant.
