Sparrow & Whale Macramé is an exclusive brand of original handmade textile art and macramé products made in Costa Rica.   Our products  are created using the best quality materials and with the finest attention to detail. We have years of experience in making and our products are exceptionally handcrafted.

WHAT WE OFFER

We offer high quality handmade original textile products and art as well as bespoke pieces. We also teach workshops on a regular basis at Plant Revolution in Jaco.

We currently do not offer workshops.

CUSTOM ORDERS

​

We offer custom work for clients looking for a unique textile art piece. We DO NOT reproduce other people's designs.  Our focus is on producing one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect our brand's artistic vision and style.  We offer custom work for wall tapestries and also products​ for commercial clients.  We do not offer custom orders for small items such as plant hangers. Our minimum for custom orders is $200. For inquiries about custom work, please send an email to swmacrame@gmail.com

Custom work time varies depending on our current workload.  Generally, a custom order can take between 2-5 weeks to complete.    A time estimate will be given to you when inquiring about a custom order.  We highly recommend that you have a look at our current work in the online shop, or visit our instagram page @sparrow_n_whale_macrame  in order to get  a better sense of the kind of work that we do.

WHOLESALE

​

We DO NOT offer wholesale pricing. Our products are carefully handmade, one at a time, using the highest quality materials.  We price our work fairly and therefore do not offer discounts, other than the occasional sale.

CONSIGNMENT

We do not offer our products for consignment sale.

We offer shipping throughout Costa Rica.  Please contact us for shipping methods and costs.

SUPPLIER INFORMATION

​

We get a lot of other macramé makers asking us where we buy our macramé materials.  While we are happy to share some general information with our paying students, kindly note that we do not disclose our cord/material  providers and such.  We have invested a great deal of time and effort searching for suppliers, both locally and abroad, in order to acquire the best materials available for our work.   This is something that allows our work to stand apart from the rest and is therefore considered confidential information.

All of our textile art pieces are original designs by Sparrow &  Whale Macramé and may not be reproduced in any way.   Patterns sold in kits and/or in workshops are for personal use only and may NOT be reproduced for the purpose of selling. We encourage anyone who wants to make macramé, to either  sign up for a workshop, find free patterns offered online and/or to create their own designs!
