The Epiphyllum Cactus is a night blooming epiphytic cactus that is native to Mexico and Central America. It has long, flat, draping branches that can reach up to 1.2 meters in height and width.  This plant looks best in a hanging basket or shelf that will appropriately display its long foliage.  Mature plants can bloom at night during the Summer months. It is said that the Epiphyllum produces some of the most beautiful blooms in the world.

Epiphyllums make great indoor plants. They like bright to medium indirect light and require watering about once a week, allowing the soil to become dry between waterings.

Epiphyllums can be potted using a well-draining orchid mix and should be fertilized once a month with a balanced fertilizer.
