This is possibly the  most iconic of the collectible anthuriums.  Clarinervium are collected for the distinctive foliage that is dramatically heart shaped.  The leaves are very thick, almost the texture of thick cardboard, have a velvet texture and dramatic white leaf veins.  
 
Besides being one of the most stunning velvet leaf anthuriums, clarinervium is probably the easiest to grow.  It adapts well to a variety of light, temperature and humidity conditions and is quite pest resistant.  Clarinerviums also tend to be more resistant to fungal diseases, which can be problematic with other velvet leaf anthuriums and philodendrons.
 
These plants grow very slowly, but given proper care can grow to large sizes over time.  .
