A Very Dreamy Workshop: Macramé, Beach & Breakfast

This past month, we had the pleasure of co-hosting one of our dreamiest workshops to date; the "Macramé, Beach & Breakfast Workshop" with our own macramé artist, Lyndsay, creator of Sparrow & Whale Macramé.
Lyndsay had been conjuring up the idea to host a bohemian-themed beach workshop for nearly a year now and was finally able to see her vision come to life.
It turned out to be a perfect morning! Just enough sunshine, cloud coverage and a wonderful ocean breeze and miraculously, NO RAIN! The workshop took place beneath a canopy of almond trees in a quiet area of Jaco beach. Beneath the grouping of trees, our team put together a very dreamy scene with a flowy canopy tent, large floor cushions, colourful throws, a low table, hanging macrame lanterns, floral center pieces, and the most beautiful beach themed table setting you will ever see! Even the napkins had seashells and seahorses on them!
The attendants were welcomed with a fabulous breakfast spread of fresh fruit, croissants, granola, goat yogurt, chia seeds, fresh orange juice and bottomless organic coffee! The breakfast was a really wonderful way for everyone to get to know each other, share a few laughs, relax and enjoy the fresh morning sea breeze.
Once the breakfast was done, the macrame was on! The ladies gathered beneath a tree to each of their assigned work stations and began to work on their projects.
With the instructions and guidance of Sparrow & Whale Macramé, the students began forming spiral chains with their cord, working their pattern to create a lovely plant shelf.
Everybody did an incredible job making their plant shelf! Check out the pics to see their amazing work!
To make the workshop even more exciting, we gave away prizes to ALL our participants! Everybody received something good, but Val walked away with the best prize of the
morning: a lovely watermelon peperomia!
The workshop finished right on time. Everybody completed their project just as the dark clouds started to roll in! Good timing!
As you can tell from the photo below, everybody left pretty happy and feeling relaxed.
We would like to thank all the participants for attending. This event was special because of you all! And a special thanks to our workshop assistant Kate, for doing an incredible job with the set up and ensuring that everything ran smoothly.
