Damos la bienvenida al 2021 con nuestra Planta del mes de enero, el muy buscado Ficus Elastica "Belize Ruby". Estos árboles de caucho son impresionantes con una variedad de verde, crema y rosa a rojo claro. Estos son excelentes ejemplares que han sido podados para asegurar un patrón de crecimiento ramificado más grueso.

Cultivado en las condiciones adecuadas, el rubí de Belice producirá colores rosados ​​a rubí profundos en sus hojas gruesas y suculentas. Estas plantas suculentas son fáciles de cultivar en interiores y exteriores, y disfrutan de luz indirecta o filtrada brillante. Son tolerantes a la sequía y resistentes a las plagas. En exterior, estas plantas pueden alcanzar tamaños muy grandes, pero normalmente crecerán hasta unos 2 m como máximo en macetas.

PLANT OF THE MONTH FOR JANUARY 2021: FICUS ELASTICA VARIEGATA 'BELIZE RUBY'

We are welcoming in 2021 with our Plant of the Month for January, the highly sought after variegated Ficus Elastica ‘Belize Ruby’. These rubber trees are stunning with green, cream and pink to light red variegation. These are great specimens that have been pruned to ensure a thicker branched growth pattern.

Grown in the right conditions, the Belize Ruby will produce pink to deep ruby colours on it's thick, succulent leaves. These succulent plants are easy to grow indoors and outdoors, enjoying bright indirect or filtered light. They are drought tolerant and pest resistant. Outdoors these plants can grow to very large sizes, but will typically grow to about 2m maximum in pots.

There aren’t many plants that offer beautiful variegation as well as pink and red foliage, so it’s not a surprise that the Belize Ruby is one of our most requested plants. Get yours while supplies last !
